1.2 Promotion Period: The competition is open between 00.01 on 28th September 2020 and 23.59 pm on 19th October 2020. The winners will be announced on 2nd November. Notification will be made via e-mail.
1.3 Eligibility: In order to claim your prize or participation certificate, you must complete and submit the Kenwood Young Baker Competition form. You must be resident in The Republic of Ireland and aged twelve (12) to eighteen (18) years old on the date the competition opens.
("you", "your(s)") are eligible to participate in the Promotion and, by participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (which may be amended or varied at any time by us).
1.4 Promotion: The overall value of the prizes is €10,000. The prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or other services. No refunds or discounts are available for elements of the prizes not taken. Prize details are stated below.
1.5 Privacy: Any personal data submitted will be used solely in accordance with current the European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (General Data Protection Regulation - hereafter "GDPR"); data protection legislation and the Kenwood Ltd privacy policy. Any information submitted must be personal, previously unpublished and related specifically to the entrant. Any information or material submitted to Kenwood Ltd must be true and not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening. Kenwood Ltd reserves the right, but not the obligation, to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove such information. As part of this competition, we will be entitled to use your email address for the purposes of administering the Promotion and allowing your participation in the Promotion.
1.6 No responsibility is accepted for entries received and proof of emailing will not be accepted as proof of delivery or receipt.
1st place winners: 2 winners will be selected from each school category: One winner from the Junior category (1st-3rd year) students and one winner from the Seniors category (4th-6th year) students.
Judging Criteria: The judging of the competition will be based on presentation, creativity, level of difficulty and originality.
The 1st place winners will receive one Kenwood Kmix machine each model KMX 750 AR (colour subject to availability) RRP €1000 (€500 for each machine).
In addition to the 2 competition winners, we will have a 2nd and 3rd place for each school category (1st - 3rd year) and (4th-6th year). The 2nd and 3rd place students will each receive a Runner up prize of a Kenwood Chefette Model ref HM680WH (Subject to availability).
The 1st place winners of the competition and their class will receive 2 cookery courses with Patrick Ryan to the value of €1000 for each course.
Patrick Ryan Cookery Course must be redeemed within the school year. Kenwood will liaise with the home economics teacher on appropriate content of cookery course in advance. Patrick can do the class within the school or else via Zoom (depending on Covid restrictions).
We will notify the winners via email on how they can claim their prize.
Each 1st place winners' Home Economics school class will receive a €3500 voucher for Kenwood goods to redeem up until the 2nd November 2022. A brochure will be provided for the class to select appropriate products up to the prize value based on RRP.
